Meet the Coach

Head Coach - Lori Wynn

The Geneva College women's basketball finally has some stability at the top. After going through a transitional period that resulted in five heac coaches in six years, Lori Wynn took over the reins last year and is set to begin her second season at the helm. Wynn spent the previous eight years as the head coach for Malone College where she compiled an overall record of 85-147. Wynn has spent a total of 14 seasons as a head coach including stops at Grace, IN and Nyack College. She has been involved in collegiate coaching for a total of 19 years including stints as an assistant coach at Taylor, Baptist Bible and Appalachian State. Her career head coaching record coming into the new season sits at 125-208.

During her most recent stint at Malone, Wynn coached a two-time NAIA All-American as well as coaching a total of 11 NAIA All-American Scholar Athletes. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that everyone of Wynn’s student-athletes have graduated during her 13 years as a head coach.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Wynn is a 1992 graduate of Houghton College. Wynn began her collegiate career as a player and as a student at Geneva College during the 1988-89 school year. She transferred to Houghton following her freshman year to pursue a different academic major. She earned her B.S. in Physical Education prior to earning a M.E.D. in Health and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2001.

In addition to her coaching duties, Wynn also teaches in Geneva’s Physical Education Department.
