Move-In Day is our favorite day of the year. It is the day where we all have the honor of officially welcoming you into our Geneva community! We know move-in day is packed full of emotions, not to mention the actual packing and unpacking. Since your plate is already full on move-in day, we have created a system to make your life easier. Take a look at these key points to make sure you start off the day right.
- Registration: Registration will take place from 9am-1pm on Wednesday, August 21st. When you arrive to campus, drive right through the Geneva archway (see map below for specific driving instructions). Check-in will take place in the Student Center. There, we will take care of any unfinished forms, make sure your finances are on track, give resident students specific resident hall information, and give you pertinent Welcome Week information.
- Unloading your car (for on-campus residents): Once you have completed Check-in, we will guide you to your respective resident hall. Once you pull up to your building, we will have a team of students eagerly waiting your arrival. It may have taken you hours to pack your car, but these students will enthusiastically unload your car in a matter of minutes!
- Settling-in on campus: We have intentionally built in a space of time for you to settle-in before we kick-off our opening Welcome Week events. Take this time to organize your room, check out the various campus buildings, or go on that one last shopping trip.
- Opening Welcome: At 3pm, head down to the Metheny Fieldhouse for the opening session. Hear from key members of the campus community as we officially welcome you to Geneva. From here, check out the Welcome Week schedule for details on what happens the rest of the day/week.
