How to Access and Login to Geneva College applications
Username and Password is the SAME for lab/web registration/intranet applications
On-campus lab/library computers
How to Access:
Lab computers are located in SE 122, SE 343, NW 212 and McCartney library
How to Login:
User name: enter your username
Password: enter your password
Log on to: CAMPUS
Click on OK
Web Registration Module
How to Access:
- Go to www.geneva.edu
- Click on Current Students(at top of page)
- Click on Registrar(on left side of page)
- Click on Web Registration Information(on left side of page)
- Click on Web Registration Login(scroll to bottom of page)
OR - Go to www.geneva.edu
- Place cursor on Quick Links
- Click on Web Registration
How to Login:
User name: enter your username
Password: enter your password
Click on Login
Intranet
How to Access:
- Go to www.geneva.edu
- Place cursor on Quick Links
- Click on Intranet
OR - Open an internet browser session
- Type intranet.geneva.edu
How to Login:
User name: enter your username preceded by campus\
Password: enter your password
Click on OK
Password Management for lab/web registration/intranet applications:
Password must be changed every 120 days
Rules for Creating a Password
- Password must contain 3 out of 4 of the following:
- Upper case letters
- Lower case letters
- Integers (numbers)
- Punctuation
- Password must be 8 or more characters
- Must not be the same as any of your previous 24 passwords
- A password cannot be changed more than once in a 24 hour period
How to change your password at an on-campus computer
A lab computer is the only place you will receive a warning about an expiring password and a request to change your password.
How to change your password from off-campus
While you have a working password, you should set up a profile on the web that will allow you to reset your expired or forgotten password. See the instructions below.
Instructions for Creating/Editing a Profile on the Password Changing Website
- Start an internet browser session with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
- Go to https://stumypass.geneva.edu
- Click on Edit my Profile
- Fill in your user name and password, make sure “Campus” is selected at the “Domain:” prompt
- Click Logon
- Select 2 security questions and provide an answer. Create an additional security question and provide an answer.
- Click on Update and a screen will display a message that you have successfully updated your profile
Option for changing a known but now expired password:
- Start an internet browser session with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
- Go to https://spwreset.geneva.edu
- Enter username, old password and new password(twice)
- The password must contain 3 out of 4 of the following:
- Upper case letters
- Lower case letters
- Integers (numbers)
- Punctuation
- Password must be 8 or more characters
- Must not be the same as any of your previous 24 passwords
- A password cannot be changed more than once in a 24 hour period.
Option for changing an expired or forgotten password:
Only IF a profile has been created(see above)
- Start an internet browser session with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
- Go to https://stumypass.geneva.edu
- Click on Reset my Password
- Fill in your user name, make sure “CAMPUS” is selected at the “Domain:” prompt
- Click Logon
- Provide an answer to security question and click on Continue. (3 times)
- Click Generate to obtain a random password OR
- Select Enter if you want to create your own password
- The password must contain 3 out of 4 of the following:
- Upper case letters
- Lower case letters
- Integers (numbers)
- Punctuation
- Password must be 8 or more characters
- Must not be the same as any of your previous 24 passwords
- A password cannot be changed more than once in a 24 hour period.
- Click change password to finish the process. A screen will display letting you know that the password has been changed.
Option for changing known unexpired password:
- Start an internet browser session with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox
- Go to https://stumypass.geneva.edu
- Click on Change my Password
- Fill in your user name and password, make sure “CAMPUS” is selected at the “Domain:” prompt
- Click Logon
- Click Generate to obtain a random password OR
- Select Enter if you want to create your own password

How to Access:

- Go to www.geneva.edu
- Place cursor on Quick Links
- Click on Student Email Access
How to Login:
Username: enter your username
Password: enter your password
Click on Login
Password Management:
Can change from any on-campus lab/library computer
How to change your password from a computer with OS of Windows XP or older
- On any Windows computer, select Start, then Run
- Type cmd in the window and select OK
- When the window comes up, type telnet sparcy.geneva.edu
- When the login prompt appears, type in your email username and password
- Once you are logged in, type passwd
- You will be prompted for your current password, and then your new password twice
- After changing your password, type logout
Contact the help desk at helpdesk@geneva.edu or 724-847-6789 (extension 6789 on campus), to have your password changed if your computer has the Vista OS.
Blackboard
How to Access:

- Go to www.geneva.edu
- Place cursor on Quick Links
- Click on Blackboard
- Click on User Login
How to Login:
Username: enter your username
Password: enter your password
Click on Login
Password Management:
We highly recommend that you change your password to one of your choosing
How to change your password
- Click on Personal Information (inside Tools box on left side of screen)
- Click on Change Password
- Enter password of your choosing in Password and Verify Password box
- Click on Submit
- You will receive a screen saying Password successfully updated. Click on OK
- Click on Welcome tab to return to opening page
