"The coaches throughout the Geneva College athletic department relish the opportunity to help develop men and women in all aspects of life. We will have a coaching staff that will work tirelessly to help each person meet their goals on the field, on the court, in the classroom and on campus. We can make the promise that men and women will graduate from Geneva College having developed skills that will prepare them for life after athletics. We will strive for excellence in all that we do and will demand more from our student-athletes than has ever been asked of them before. Because we know each of us has a responsibility to give their very best every day, this coaching staff will walk alongside every Geneva student-athlete from day one through graduation.
Since our very first intercollegiate football game in 1890 and a few years later the first ever college basketball game in the United States in 1893, Geneva College and its coaches have been working hand in hand in developing student-athletes in all areas of life. With one of the richest athletic traditions anywhere, the men and women at Geneva College have a certain pride that they carry with them every time they put on a Geneva uniform. Similarly, the coaching staff understands what it means to mentor our student-athletes and demand their very best in every practice and game.
The athletic programs at Geneva College will always be about winning and helping develop our student-athletes to have a mindset that there is nothing wrong with reaching for success. While we hope for success in athletics, nothing will be more important to our coaches and staff than that of honoring Jesus Christ in all that we do and helping to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Being a Christ-centered College means exactly what it says. Jesus Christ will always be at the center of everything we do and everything that we stand for in our lives. Additionally, it is honoring the gifts and talents that have been bestowed upon our student-athletes and coaches that will ultimately please our Lord and Savior."
