Care Packages

Whether celebrating a birthday, marking a special occasion, sending congratulations or offering comfort, care packages are a way to tell people that you are thinking about them. Here are some ways that you can do just that:

Cakes & Giant Cookies
Call Barbara Baumgartner to order cakes or giant cookies. You can order homemade cakes for $20 and giant decorated cookies for $15. Call Barb at 724-847-1342 or e-mail her at reb279@gmail.com to place your order. Be sure to give her your child's name, cell phone number and campus box number. Send a check to Barb Baumgartner, 1609 Eighteenth Ave, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. The item will be delivered to my office, at which time your child will be contacted and asked to stop by. The surprise will be waiting with the staff ready to wish your student a happy birthday or congratulations or some other occasion.

Gift Baskets
Layton Crate and Basket is a locally-owned, family-operated business offering gift baskets for any occasion. Choose a theme-based basket or have a customized basket created to celebrate that special occasion. For more information and ordering please visit www.laytoncrate.wordpress.com or contact Susie Layton at 724-847-9090 or laytoncrate@hotmail.com

Gift Bags
Send your student a care package through One 4 You, a locally-owned and community-focused business. Each care package includes a generous assortment of food items in a reusable bag, along with your personal note on a card with a scripture verse. A percentage of the profits are given to local charities, such as Light of Life Rescue Mission of Pittsburgh. Click here to shop online.

Campus Store
Looking for Geneva College gear or the perfect gift card? The Campus Store is ready to serve you at 724-847-6595 or click here to shop online.

Tornado Treats
Residence Life offers care packages for students during finals week. These care packages, known as Tornado Treats, are put together in-house and include items such as granola bars, crackers, fruit, candy, beverages, and other study munchies. All proceeds are used to fund Residence Hall renovations as well as hall programming. You will receive information in the mail on how to order Tornado Treats prior to fall and spring semester finals. Please contact the Residence Life office at 724-847-6645 with any questions.

Flowers
Does the occasion call for flowers? While we do not have any special arrangements with the local florists, here is a selected list for your convenience. You may wish to have them delivered to my office as it is difficult for deliveries to be made to the dormitories. The florist can make the delivery to Becky Phillips, Parent Relations, Alexander Hall, Geneva College. Your child will be contacted and asked to stop by the office.
