ClubsAccounting Club The purpose of the Geneva College Accounting Club is to further the ethical, professional and social standards of our membership in relation to the accounting profession. To fulfill this ideal, it is our firm policy to take part in social and educational activities, thus rendering service to our school and community. President: Kelly Luteran - kjlutera@geneva.edu Acting on Aids The purpose of the Acting on AIDS club is to mobilize students to do something about the global AIDS pandemic through awareness, advocacy, and activism. The goal is to change hearts on campus, create awareness in the community, and advocate for the most innocent victims of HIV/AIDS around the world. Co-leader: Thandeko Dlodlo - thandimk@yahoo.com Alpha Psi Omega The purpose of Alpha Psi Omega is to stimulate interest in theatre activities at Geneva College and to secure for the college all the advantages, and mutual helpfulness provided by a large national honorary fraternity. President: Lindsey Rock - larock@geneva.edu American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) The objective of the ASCE is to promote the Civil Engineering profession, through the organized effort of this group, through student interaction with each other and members of the engineering profession. President: Jake Alianello - jalianelo@geneva.edu American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) The purpose of the ASME shall be the advancement and dissemination of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering, the presentation of proper perspective of engineering work, and the opportunity to become acquainted with the personnel and activities of the society, as well as to promote a professional consciousness and fellowship. President: Ray Davidowski - rpdavido@geneva.edu Black Student Organization The purpose of the Black Student Organization is to provide a place where American Students of Color can get together and share thoughts, ideas, and problems unique to them. The group also seeks to acknowledge and initiate the Biblical mandate of reconciliation. President: Sanna Clark - smclark@geneva.edu Council for Exceptional Children The primary purpose of the Council for Exceptional Children is to advance the education of individuals with exceptionalities and to promote related educational, scientific, and charitable purposes. President: Lacey Burford - lmburfor@geneva.edu Creation Stewardship Club As Christians we are called to maintain the environment, and The Creation Stewardship Club strives to fulfill this purpose. Through service projects, nature appreciation events, and campus wide activities, its members promote the conservation of the environment and its resources. President: Cassi McDowell - cassimcdowell@geneva.edu English Club The English club promotes extra-curricular activities in the field of English designed to bring together individuals from the three majors associated with Geneva’s English Department. It also seeks to serve the community at large in various ways each year. Affiliation with Sigma Tau Delta will be facilitated through the English Club as a Chapter at Geneva College. President: Emily Stains - elstains@geneva.edu Dialectics President: Nate Wiley - nmwiley@geneva.edu The Father's Scientists The purpose of the Father's Scientists is to increase the understanding of science from a Christian perspective. The group conducts several campus-wide events to this end each semester, and it strives to benefit its members by creating a level of intellectual support for the the integration of faith and science. President: Trevor Sleight - twsleigh@geneva.edu Geneva College Republicans (GOP) The Geneva College Republicans is a club designed for the fellowship and political enlightenment of Christian, Republican Geneva students and faculty. The Geneva College Republicans are a member of the Pennsylvania College Republicans. President: Noah Finley - nafinley@geneva.edu Golf Club The purpose of the golf club is to inspire and facilitate an interest in the sport of golf among students registered in the college. The club would also provide students with an opportunity to improve their skills by playing many challenging courses. President: Jason Radcliff - jrradcli@geneva.edu Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) IEEE is all about electrical engineers and electronics. We build lego robots (and program them), we take tours of local companies (Westinghouse, etc.), and we bring in talkers to let us know what is going on in the world around us with technology. President: Ton Bennett - tabennet@geneva.edu International Student Organization The purpose of the ISO is to honor God and to benefit international students by helping new International students to adjust to American culture and encourage them in their studies, to build friendships and communicate with the community, which includes Geneva College, and those who attend Geneva. President: Christiana Demetriou - cdemetri@geneva.edu Knitting Club President: Katie Harnish - katie.harnish@geneva.edu Lin and Lang The purpose of the Lin and Lang club is to unite language speakers in the enjoyment of language and its amazing beauty and variety. It serves and enriches the student body by engaging topics within the fields of linguistics, anthropology, and missions, while seeking to foster a spirit of appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism. President: April Hope - afhope@geneva.edu Medieval Reenactment Club (Dagorhir) The Geneva College Medieval Reenactment Club exists to inform its members and the campus community about medieval history and combat. The club strives to teach the values of self-discipline, integrity, charity, compassion, and worship in its members. It is our goal to rise up servant-leaders that will take the values taught by the club, and make a positive impact in the community and world for the Kingdom of God. Men's Rugby The Geneva College Men's Rugby club is a club created and maintained by students to compete against other rugby clubs throughout the region. The group strives to promote a greater level of community and Geneva pride. President: Matt Coyne - macoyne@geneva.edu Men's Tennis Club The Geneva Men's Tennis Club exists to provide a place for the men on Geneva's campus to play competitive tennis. The club seeks to provide a fun and challenging atmosphere in which players can learn more about the sport, improve their skills, and develop their game. Men's Volleyball President: Logan Kibler - lkkibler@geneva.edu New Creation The purpose of New Creation is to glorify God through music, while ministering to those on campus and in the community. Roller Hockey The Geneva Roller Hockey Club is a team of Geneva students who represent the college in club play against other schools in the Western Pennsylvania College Hockey League. The club also includes fans as members, and sponsors community activities to build fellowship and love of the game amongst players and fans alike. President: Justin Miller - jmmiller@geneva.edu Ski Club The purpose of the Ski club is to help facilitate Geneva College students’ fellowship with one another while partaking in a winter sport. President: Garrett Marvich - garrett.marvich@geneva.edu Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) The purpose of SHRM is to acquaint students considering a future in the field of human resource management and/or labor relations, to keep students up to date on new developments in the field of human resource management, and to develop professional human resource managers for the future. President: Crystal Palerrno - ajherrin@geneva.edu Spanish Club The purpose of the Spanish Club is to create and stimulate interest among the Geneva community in the Spanish language and the Spanish and Latin American cultures. The Spanish Club will also be a welcome committee to all native Spanish-speaking students. Our mission is reaching out to and serving those in and around the Geneva College community and abroad. President: Seth Wing - sawing@geneva.edu Superfans The purpose of the Superfans is to provide an opportunity for the people associated with the college to demonstrate their pride in being a Genevan at sporting events.
