  • In the past four years, on average, 90% of Geneva students are working or in grad school within six months after graduation.
  • Geneva provides the versatility for accounting students to meet all the requirements for the new CPA licensure exam either as part of their bachelor’s degree or their master’s degree.
  • Geneva's Communication Disorders students have attended graduate programs all over the US, at schools such as the University of Iowa, California State University - Fullerton, Gallaudet University, and University of Pittsburgh.

  • U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges ranked Geneva’s ABET-accredited engineering program in the nation’s top 100 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

  • 2010 accounting graduates had a 97% job placement rate.
  • Geneva offers innovative business/aviation and Christian ministry/aviation majors through a partnership with the Community College of Beaver County.
  • The Department of Biblical Studies offers opportunities to study at Jerusalem University College or at the Covenanter Theological Institute in Airdrie, Scotland.

  • The business and athletic departments jointly offer a sport management major designed to prepare students for positions in administration, leadership, coaching and event management.
  • Geneva graduates pass the test for teacher certification in elementary education (Praxis II) at over a 99% rate in the first attempt–one of the highest pass rates in Pennsylvania.
  • All 50 states offer some form of reciprocity for certification to Geneva education graduates.

  • Designated as a Pennsylvania College of Distinction, Geneva is recognized as one of the best places in the state for students to learn, to grow, and to succeed.

  • Geneva College is one of only 15 CCCU schools in the nation that offers an ABET-accredited, four-year engineering program.
  • Geneva prepares students for a wide range of environmental careers through a B.S. degree in environmental science and an engineering concentration in environmental technology.
  • Geneva offers an Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCP) to finish a degree in Human Resources, Human Services, Christian Ministry Leadership or Organizational Development.

  • As a College of Distinction, Geneva is nationally recognized for providing outstanding preparation that is highly valued by graduate schools and employers.

  • The pass rate for Geneva graduates in the special education certification (Praxis II) is 100%.
  • Geneva College has a larger percentage of senior faculty than most U.S. colleges, with 45% being full professors compared to the national average of 25%, and 36% being associate professors, compared to national averages of 21%.
  • Music business students have the opportunity to participate in the Contemporary Music Center Program in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • The B.S.B.A. and MBA programs are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

  • Geneva engineering students compete in national competitions including the Solar Splash, Steel Bridge Building and the Society of Automotive Engineers Baja Competition.
  • A great majority of Geneva students—70%—complete internships during the course of their study.

  • Geneva’s general engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.

  • Geneva’s biochemistry major is approved by the American Chemical Society and offers rigorous preparation for graduate or allied-health schools.
  • Through the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, Geneva offers the 3&3 Program enabling students to complete a B.S. and a M.Div. in only six years.
  • Music education and music business graduates have a 95-100% job placement in the first year.
  • Geneva College is the only CCCU institution with a full-time program in Rome, Italy. In Rome, students spend a semester studying the humanities, traveling throughout Italy and Europe, and engaging in volunteer activities.

  • Geneva College hosts a chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honors society open to English and Writing majors of high academic standing.

  • Among a recent sampling of chemistry graduates, 83% were able to work in an internship or research experience during college years, and 100% had employment in their field or were accepted into graduate school within three months of graduation.
  • Geneva is the first college in the country to offer a five-year B.S. /M.S. degree in cardiovascular science technology through Inova Heart and Vascular Institute in Virginia.
  • Geneva College was selected to join the Undergraduate Microbial Genome Annotation Program, an initiative of the Department of Energy’s Joint Genome Institute (JGI).

  • Students have opportunities for enrichment and networking through Geneva’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter.

  • Geneva graduates have an 80% acceptance rate when applying for entrance to medical school–well above the national average.
  • The psychology program meets the standards required by the American Psychological Association for graduate school entrance.
  • Psychology students present work at regional conferences annually.

  • For over 50 years, Geneva’s chemistry department has been approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS)—a distinction achieved by only six other colleges in the CCCU.

  • Geneva offers a semester-long program at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center which combines seminar courses and internships in various segments of the film industry.
  • Geneva students have the opportunity each summer to attend Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies to develop practical methods of caring for the environment.
  • Geneva’s more than 40 semester-abroad programs include opportunities to study in Rome, China, South Africa, Japan, Spain and many more.

  • The cardiovascular science program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

  • Geneva has an agreement with the Art institute of Pittsburgh, offering students programs in culinary management, interior design, photography, advertising and more.
  • Graduates of the Masters in Education in Reading have a 100% pass rate on the Reading Specialist Praxis Exam.
  • Geneva provides graduate-level degrees in: Business Administration, Cardiovascular Science, Counseling, Higher Education, Organizational Leadership, Reading and Special Education.

  • The Master of Arts in Counseling programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP).

  • Geneva’s Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCP) offers two fully online majors—Christian Ministry Leadership and Human Resources.
  • Of Geneva's 96 full-time faculty members, 76% have earned doctorates.
  • The Department of Engineering has had 100% job placement for graduates in the past 10 years.

  • Geneva College’s Center for Urban Biblical Ministry (CUBM) in Pittsburgh educates urban students for effective service in their local communities.

  • Since 1923, Geneva College has been accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • The first biopsychology major graduated in 2012 and has been hired as an IOM Tech in UPMC’s Center for Clinical Neurophysiology (CCN).

Point of Excellence
