What distinguishes Geneva from other schools?
Geneva excels at providing students with an academic environment that takes seriously the integration of faith with learning. Faculty and staff are intentional to maintain this environment. Specifically, tenure track faculty are required to produce a Faith and Learning paper, that clearly demonstrates the integration of faith with their specific discipline. Additionally, all employees at Geneva are required to submit a statement of faith to ensure that our faculty and staff are committed to Christ.
With low student-to-faculty ratio (15:1), Geneva presents a learning environment that encourages student and faculty interaction in order to develop a Christian worldview. We believe that it is critical to develop in our students a Christian worldview in order to engage culture with the intent of transforming that culture for Christ.
Where is Geneva College located?
Geneva is conveniently located 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. on PA Route 18. We are three miles south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 2), in the picturesque Beaver Valley. Our 50-acre campus provides a small-town setting with access to Pittsburgh's sports, cultural events and transportation.

More than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students are from 30 states and 35 countries. Seventy-five percent of students live on campus.

Overall, 94% of Geneva's students find employment or enter graduate school within 6 months of graduation. Nearly 55% of Geneva's graduating seniors secure employment before graduation. Ultimately our goal, which is successfully evident by these statistics, is to prepare students for both employment and continued education that is meaningful and fitting for each student.

Do I have to declare a major when I enroll?
No. You can remain undeclared for up to 1½ years, taking liberal arts courses and core requirements before declaring a major. The liberal arts courses enable undeclared students to explore multiple disciplines, with the intent of finding the best fit for a choice of major.
Are tutoring services available for students?
Peer tutoring is available through our ACCESS(Academic Counseling Center and Educational Support Services) Office for those in need of support services. Tutoring is free and available for one hour per week per class. Peer tutors are comprised of students that demonstrated high academic achievement in courses that they tutor.
How do students apply for financial aid?
Visit our Financial Aid pages for complete details. Completing the FAFSA form enables accepted students to receive a financial aid award. Nearly 95 percent of Geneva students receive some type of financial aid. Financial aid awards are typically made sometime during March of the student's senior year.
The FAFSA is available January 1st of every year. Geneva holds a priority awarding date of March 15th for completed FAFSA's. We encourage students to complete the FAFSA as early as possible. If, however, a student misses the March 15th date, they are still eligible for aid.
How are scholarships awarded?
Academic scholarships are awarded based upon academic achievement as displayed through the application material submitted. Additional scholarships and grants are determined during the year and coincide with the FAFSA process.
When are admissions decisions made?
You can apply online at no charge to begin the process. Geneva is on a rolling admissions basis. You will receive notification approximately two weeks after all of your application materials are received by Geneva. Visit our online application for more information.
Can I bring my computer to campus?
You can bring a computer and have either direct network access or wireless connection to the Internet in your room. Several of Geneva's facilities offer wireless connections including the student center and the dining commons.
Can I bring my car to campus?
You can bring a car to campus after the requirements for receiving a parking permit are fulfilled and the permit is purchased. New students receive parking information from the admissions office in April before the fall semester and November before a spring semester.
What is security like at Geneva?
A security officer is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Beaver County also has been named one of the most crime-free counties in the country.
What type of campus health care is provided?
A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Health clinic hours are daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A physician hosts campus visits each week by appointment.
How do you help freshmen transition to college?
During the summer that precedes a student's freshman year, Geneva holds two preview weekends that are designed for both parents and students. The focus of this event is to introduce students and parents to an in-depth presentation of Geneva's academic, social and spiritual pursuits. During this weekend, students take placement tests and meet personally with academic advisors from their intended majors.
Additionally, a one-credit Learning and Transition class is required during the fall semester of your freshman year. This course is designed to assist new students as they learn about study skills, time management, diversity, servant leadership, community service and career development.
Are freshmen required to live on campus?
All freshmen students are required to live on campus unless they are commuting from their home residence. All Geneva students abide by the same policy.
What activities for students are offered at Geneva?
Geneva offers a variety of activities both on and off of campus. Our campus activities include, but are not limited to: Pisgah outdoor adventure program, intercollegiate and intramural sports, academic clubs, band, Upper Room student ministry, concerts, coffee houses, mystery bus tour and more.
