- Geneva was founded by the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA) in Northwood, Ohio in 1848. The college moved to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania in 1880.

- Geneva operates a high-adventure ropes course called Pisgah on a hillside opposite the campus where students can learn in a non-traditional, wilderness environment.

Athletics
- The Geneva College Golden Tornadoes started a new era in the 2006-2007 year by joining the NCAA Division III and The Presidents' Athletic Conference. Geneva also maintains membership in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
- Men's sports: football, basketball, baseball, indoor and outdoor track & field, cross country, and soccer.
- Women's sports: basketball, volleyball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, cross country, soccer, and softball.
- Cal Hubbard, a 1927 Geneva grad, is the only athlete to ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Pro Baseball Hall of Fame, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
- In 1986, Geneva's Charles Hawthrone broke the record of having scored the most career points for a college basketball player in western Pennsylvania.

- Indoor sports are played in Metheny Fieldhouse (3,000 capacity).
- Track & Field and Soccer matches are played at the Merriman Athletic Complex.
- Football games are played at Geneva's Reeves Stadium (7,500 capacity), where Joe Namath played his high school games.
In the Community
- The Geneva Counseling Center is available to the public for psychological counseling services.
- Freshmen participate in a Learning and Transition Program, which includes one day dedicated to community service projects throughout Beaver County. Volunteers: 400; hours of service: 2,000; estimated value of services rendered at minimum wage: $14,300.
- There are more than 15 student-led campus ministry programs.
- Geneva's Center for Technology Development is funded as a "Center of Excellence" by the Ben Franklin Partnership. It has supported research work with over 30 local companies.
Fun Facts
- 85,000 visitors come to the campus each year: 2,500 prospective students, families and friends; 1,000 for alumni events; 13,000 for seminars, conferences, commencement, etc.; 70,000 for sporting and cultural events.
- Geneva's newest academic building is Rapp Technical Design Center.
- There are currently seven Geneva graduates serving as college presidents.
- Geneva's McCartney Library, named in honor of evangelist Dr. Clarence Edward Macartney (sic), serves over 3,155 people each year with 167,206 volumes, 879 periodicals and 198,624 units of micro texts and instructional media.
