Presidents Cabinet


Joe Weiss: Senior Class President
Joe is a chemical engineering majoring from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He is the senior class president and is also on the rugby team. While he doesn’t have a favorite band, Joe loves country and rock music. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would jet set to Europe to experience the various cultures overseas. This is his third year in the GCSU. He feels that God is leading him into an industry where he is able to help other and have fun doing it. The GCSU is allowing him to fulfill the plans he believes God has for him.

Katie Bushaw: Junior Class President
Katie is a junior math education major with a calculus focus from Beaver Pennsylvania. Some of her favorite activities involve singing, dancing, recreational sports, video games, and sketching. Blue is her favorite color. If she had to eat only one food every day for the rest of her life fettuccini alfredo would be her choice. Her dream job is to be the Disney Princess, Belle, at Disneyworld. As junior class president, Katie’s main goal is to voice the needs and concerns of the student body. She believes that it is important to utilize the resources at Geneva to enhance the student’s experience, the college’s relationship with the community, and the alumni of Geneva College.

Michael Warren: Sophomore Class President
Michael Warren is a sophomore Music Education Major from the South Side of Pittsburgh. He loves to sing, eat, play piano, and he wishes he could dance but lacks in coordination. He is the Geneva gospel choir director and sophomore class president. He has dreams of becoming a music teacher one day and fulfill his call of preaching the word. If he could go anywhere in the world, Michael would travel to South Africa to do missionary work. By being in the GCSU he has hopes of developing good leadership qualities and making Geneva a great time for students.

Ben Che: Freshman Class President
Freshman, and Beaver County resident, Ben Che is a double major in business and political science. He has lived in various parts of the United States and Shenzhen China. Ben likes to keep up on current events, specifically politics. Mushrooms, mangoes, and hot sauce are some of his favorite foods. If he could travel anywhere in the world, Ben would visit Damascus Syria to be a firsthand witness to the rioting and political unrest that is taking place. Through his title as freshman class president, he hopes to implement several ideas that either he or other students have for campus improvement. He hopes to keep an active communication going with his class regarding their first year experience. Ben feels that God is calling him toward a career in international business and entrepreneurship.

Alex Aseltine: Videographer

Alex is a sophomore integrated media major from Middletown Rhode Island. When he has free time away from his job as the student union’s videographer, he likes to go outdoors and explore. His favorite hobbies include camping, rock climbing, and photographing nature. Navy blue is his favorite color. When it comes to food, Alex feels so passionately about Italian that he could eat it every day for the rest of his life. If he could sing along with any band, he would join in with Coldplay for the song “Paradise”. Through his work with GCSU, Alex hopes to make an impact at Geneva. He is hoping to further the kingdom of Christ with the visual arts gifts that he has been blessed with.

Ben Butler: Media Manager

Ben is a public relations major from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He has a diverse background in self defense including a black belt in Taekwondo, several years of wrestling, and a years worth of the Jewish martial arts Krav Maga. Ben enjoys creative writing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. He loves drinking coffee and eating chocolate chip scones. If he could sing alongside any band he would choose Coldplay. With his position as media manager, Ben hopes to execute his job to the best of his ability and to make Geneva a better place than it was when he first arrived. He feels that God is calling him to be a man of God in the business world.

Dan Martin: Graphic Desinger

Daniel Martin is a sophomore business marketing major from Moon Township, PA. He is on the soccer team and enjoys intramurals. If he could be in a band, he would be with either Eric Church or T. Swift, for the songs "Springsteen" or "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," respectively. He would travel to Milford, New Jersey because Mike Parker lives there. He hopes to accomplish great things on the GCSU this year, specifically in the communications cabinet. He feels that God is leading me to a marketing or advertising field in the future and this position gives him much quality experience for that path.

Pamela Matteo: Vice President of Communications

Pamela is a second semester junior public relations major from Irwin Pennsylvania. Her favorite hobbies include reading, shopping, eating Thai food, playing with her cat, and spending time with family and friends. If Pamela could go anywhere in the world she would like to go to the United Kingdom to visit the places of medieval culture. Through the GCSU, she hopes to positively influence those around her and enhance the college experience for the students of Geneva. She feels that God is leading her to a career that will allow her to further Christ’s kingdom.

Jeff Clingan: Vice President of Clubs
Jeff is a senior mechanical engineering major from Washington Pennsylvania. He has been playing the drums since 2nd grade. His favorite hobbies are hockey, driving his motorcycle and cars. Jeff would be honored to play in the band Avenged Sevenfold because he believes they are some of the best all around musicians. Jeff’s love of cars has inspired his dream of going to Italy to see the Ferrari factory. He hopes to accomplish the widespread success of clubs across campus with his position of Vice President of Clubs. He feels that God is leading him to become a better leader which has been made possible by the GCSU.

Jonathan King: Clubs Representative
Business music major from Tunkhannock Pennsylvania, Jonathan King, is a sophomore clubs representative. Most of his hobbies consist of music and long boarding. He loves Olive Garden bread sticks and believes they are one of the most amazing foods known to man. He would love to play alongside the Dave Matthews Band in the song “So Much to Say.” Being in the GCSU has allowed Jonathan to improve the campus and the community for the Geneva students. He feels that God is leading to become involved with business in the music industry. The GCSU is a great place for him to learn good leadership qualities and skills.

Jordan Wright: Clubs Representative
Freshman biology major and Washington Pennsylvania native, Jordan Wright, is the freshman clubs representative. A few of his favorite things are golf, Taylor Swift, mashed potatoes, Mumford and Sons, and the color blue. Jordan would love to travel to Paris to experience the beautiful art and culture of the Parisians. Through the GCSU he hopes to make a difference and improve the campus. He feels that God is leading him to do very big things in his life. The GCSU is allowing him to develop great leadership skills for his future.

Justin Brothers: Vice President of Finance
Senior accounting major, Justin Brothers, is from Malvern Ohio. He loves country music, wakeboarding, Chipotle, and the color orange. If he could join any band he would be the lead singer of The Classic Crime and play any one of their songs. Like Christian, Justin is also on the Geneva rugby team. He would love to go to Wales and watch some classic rugby. Through the GCSU, he hopes to make an impact on the college and the students. Justin believes God is leading him to work in the business field. Working with the GCSU as the Vice President of Finance will give him experience in making decisions that will affect many different stakeholders.

Scott Stewart: Finance Representative
Scott is a junior business major from Little Apple Manhattan Kentucky. Even though Scott is southern guy he does not take part in fishing or hunting. His favorite activities include cheering for the Kentucky State Wildcats, riding roller coasters, hanging out with friends and family. He is hoping to make Geneva a better place by utilizing the money that has been given to the GCSU. He feels that God is giving him a great opportunity to meet new people and encourage others.
