The mission of the MAHE Program is to cultivate a vision for higher education that is rooted in a Christian view of life, characterized by a consideration of foundational issues, and committed to the preparation of perceptive and principled leaders for colleges and universities.

Note from the Director

I imagine that you are looking into graduate studies in higher education either because 1) you love working with students, or 2) you recognize the vital significance of educational institutions. Perhaps both of these are true of you. Both are certainly true of our faculty and staff here at Geneva College’s Master of Arts in Higher Education program.

Our program is now in its 19th year, and we have conferred over 300 master’s degrees. Presently we have nearly 75 students enrolled in our program. We believe that the strong interest in our program has been generated by strong faculty instruction, a vibrant academic community of grad students, and our historic commitment to work together toward nurturing Christian perspective.

As you look through this site, we hope that you will find what you are looking for. I hope that you will notice that this program provides solid theoretical and professional foundations for work in higher education. The concentration areas (student affairs, college teaching, educational leadership, and campus ministry) enable students to develop an area of expertise according to their interests. Our program is flexible as well, offering several ways to complete the degree work.

Don't hesitate to contact us directly if you would like to talk about what we have to offer. We hope that you will consider joining us as we seek to serve God in the context of higher education.
