Multiethnic Student Services

The Multiethnic Student Service office is located in the Student Center in the Student Development Office. The office serves the needs of all multiethnic student's, which include our African American, Asian Pacific Islanders, Biracial, Hispanic and Native American populations. Our purpose is to assist multiethnic students with adjustment to college life on a predominately white campus. The Director serves as a liaison for academic and social concerns between administration, faculty and students to help with the retention of students. We also seek to assess the multicultural needs of the campus community and work to provide programs and events to increase the involvement of students.
We seek to transform the lives of students by empowering them to become effective Christian leaders through the offering of programs that are affirming and supportive to the diverse racial and cultural needs of the college.

CONFERENCE OPPORTUNITY
We are supportive of off campus conferences and workshops that seek to strive for the awareness of multiculturalism and ethnicity. The National Christian Multicultural Student Leaders Conference (NCMSLC) is held each November at a Christian college from around the country. The conference provides workshops and caucus sessions that helps students to express the joys, concerns, struggles and triumphs that they see of their campuses. It gives students an opportunity to interact and network with others as well as to learn how they can live and learn in a multicultural environment on their individual campuses.
