Amy Pearce, Michawn Rich, Kim Slater and Ashley Archer will head the list of returning players for the 2009 season.

Geneva's softball team is coming off a record of 29-13 in 2008. The Golden Tornadoes have compiled 93 victories over the past three years, which is the highest win total of any three year period in school history. Included in its 29 victories this past season, were 14 victories against President Athletic Conference competition. In 18 games against the PAC, Geneva out scored its new conference foes by the count of 117-24.

While the future of Geneva softball became a reality in 2008, the Golden Tornadoes embarked on a new era with the installation of its new on-campus field. Geneva finished its first season on the new field with a mark of 10-2.

The Golden Tornadoes will continue to build toward the future with the anticipated 2009 campaign. Geneva will welcome more than a handful of new faces to College Hill beginning in the fall to mix with a solid core of players returning for another season.

Heading the list of returning players in 2009 will be two-time All-American Amy Pearce, as well as All-Conference performers Ashley Archer, Michawn Rich and Rebekah Wahl.
