The Geneva College softball team closed out the 2011 campaign with an overall record of 27-13 and its fourth trip to the NCCAA national tournament. The Golden Tornadoes finished fourth in the country on the national stage including a pair of victories against NAIA scholarship programs and the defending national champions. After a four-year provisional period, the Golden Tornadoes will be eligible to compete for a conference title as well as a chance to advance into NCAA post-season play for the first time in 2012.
Seniors Julie DiLonardo and Martha Adams will lead a young Golden Tornadoes’ team along with a solid core of outstanding underclassmen into a very demanding PAC schedule in 2012.
