Help Geneva College by volunteering.

Paul W. Haynie '70 was recognized by Geneva College with the Distinguished Service Award for his service to business and the community in 2005.

In 1946, Haynie graduated from Freedom High School and began a 41 year career in banking. He started as a bank bookkeeper and was eventually elevated to an executive officer position and was elected to serve on the bank's Board of Directors. Haynie was also the past president and member the Beaver County Chapter, American Institute of Banking; past president and member of Pittsburgh Chapter, Bank Administration Institute; and board member of the Bankers Club of Pittsburgh.

Haynie has also served on the local American Red Cross and the YMCA Boards of Directors. He served in the infantry from 1951-53, which included one year in Korea. Haynie served as a Sunday School teacher, church treasurer, member of the church board of trustees and is an ordained elder.

After 17 years of night classes, Haynie graduated from Geneva in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and now wears his class ring with obvious pride. Since 1990, he has been a volunteer for the Institutional Advancement office. Haynie has brought a wealth of experience and a deep love for Geneva to his volunteer service in the IA Office.

Please join Haynie and the many other volunteers as they use their time and talents to further the mission of Geneva College.
