For the third consecutive season, the Geneva women’s soccer team finished its season at the NCCAA East Regional championship. The Golden Tornadoes again came up one win shy of the NCCAA national tournament. The 2011 season will mark the first time the Golden Tornadoes will have a chance to compete in the NCAA post-season as a full member of Division III.
Geneva will have to go about its business in the PAC following the graduation of all-time shut-out leader Lauren Londino. Londino set school records for career shut-outs and shut-outs within a single season. Despite the loss of its goalkeeper, the Golden Tornadoes return a solid group of experienced players that will help lead the way for a new crop of soccer players joining the program this fall.
