The story of the 2010 Geneva College women’s soccer team begins with the conclusion of the 2009 campaign. Coming up just one penalty kick shy of the NCCAA national tournament, the Golden Tornadoes and head coach Linda Sumner are primed to make another run this fall. Falling in an epic 12 penalty kick marathon in the NCCAA Eastern Regional title game last year, the Golden Tornadoes will look to get over that hump in 2010.
With the return of several key components from a year ago along with the influx of some very impressive new talent, Geneva College women’s soccer is back on the map.
With the return of its top three goal scorers along with senior goalkeeper Lauren Londino, Geneva College will look to improve upon its 9-9-0 overall record from a year ago.
