Our Geneva Story

Our home state is the least churched state in the nation and hostile territory for Christian youth. Thus, our college visits covered 10 schools in 7 states; Geneva was our last stop. The joyful faith exhibited by our admissions counselor, the GC staff, and administrators solidified our choice.

Emma quickly recognized GC fit her personally and academically. Her first year experience confirmed Geneva as the answer to prayers for life-long Godly friends, faculty mentors desiring to embolden students to understand the Gospel and grow in faith, and peace within a purposeful Christian community.

Our greatest challenge is travel distance and separation. We can′t attend all events, as when homeschooling, but our family makes the most of Skype, texting, and care packages. Someone always offers airport transportation, help when sickness occurs, or a home-cooked meal. The family at Geneva pulls together whether in a crises or as a norm of sharing life together.

Our advice to parents of college-bound students

-Ask to read the papers that your student writes. The meaningful topics and Christ-centered focus of classes speak volumes about the Geneva community and make the tuition bill totally worth it!

-When visiting Geneva, make the effort to interact with professors, staff, and other families. The network of fun and loving people here will bless you and your student. Visiting campus begins to feel like home away from home for the entire family.
