Our Geneva Story

Our family was introduced to Geneva College through Christian College Search and friends whose children attended the college. Our son, David, was looking for a Christian college that had an engineering program. Although there were not many choices, we were impressed with the warm greetings and professionalism we received from the Geneva professors that told us about the program. David felt welcomed right away on the campus through becoming involved with the Marching Band and the Honors Program.

Our second son, William, visited the college many times during David′s four years, and felt that it was the place for him. He really enjoyed his first year. Although there were many "roommate" challenges for him, he is looking forward to returning in the fall.

We also have a son-in-law who is a Geneva graduate. He met our son, David, through a local church and was introduced to our daughter. We have heard many fun stories from him about his time at Geneva and how he loved being on campus and living in Geneva′s City House after graduating.

Geneva has a safe, healthy Christian atmosphere that we are proud our children are a part of.

Our Advice for Parents of College-Bound Students

  • Let them be their own person and make their own mistakes. It is very easy to want to "micromanage" everything your child does when they are on a small Christian campus such as Geneva. This is a learning time for them….the beginning of adulthood…..let them become what God wants them to be!
