Carolyn MollenkopfCarolyn Metcalfe Mollenkopf, '62 is the recipient of the 2017 Geneva College Life "G" Award. Carolyn was presented with the award on Saturday, May 6 as part of the commencement exercises for the Geneva College graduating class of 2017.

The Life "G," Geneva's highest alumni honor, is presented each year to a graduate for service above self, who embodies the principles for which Geneva College stands and whose efforts on behalf of the college, the community and the nation have been exemplary. The award is also a means of honoring alumni for exemplifying Geneva's standards, mission and commitment to servant-leadership.

2017-18 Alumni Council - Cast Your Vote

It is time to elect new alumni council members for the three-year term beginning August 1, 2017. Those elected will serve a full term of three years ending in July 2020.

Members of the Geneva Alumni Council serve the Alumni Association by advancing the interests of Geneva College, promoting mutual acquaintance of the graduates and strengthening the relationship between the alumni and the college. Below are the two candidates for the 2017-18 Alumni Council.

Anne Copeland Shaw '95
My connection to Geneva goes pretty far back, and hopefully runs into the future! My grandfather graduated from Geneva in the 1930s and my son, Will, is finishing up his freshman year there now. My husband and I both graduated from Geneva, as did my parents and all of our brothers; many family members have taught or currently teach at Geneva. I live near Philadelphia, Pa., with my husband, John ('95), and our four other children. We attend Calvary OPC in Glenside, Pa. I am mostly a stay-at-home-mom, but I also do some drama directing and substitute teaching at the school where our children attend.

Rachel Cypher Samreny ’06, Human Services
I desire for current Geneva students to experience the potential impact of the alumni community—in collegiate pride and overall involvement, as well as financial and practical support. These current students will soon become alumni, and hopefully they, in turn, will perpetuate that Geneva pride and support to current and future students, thereby encouraging Geneva College to progress on a solid trajectory! I am proud to be a Geneva alumna, and I know how important it is to have those key developmental years living alongside other Christ-followers to develop lasting friendships for when life gets difficult!
