Geneva College Named Top Military Friendly School

Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has named Geneva College to the Military Friendly Schools® list. The 2014 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America's military service members, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

MFS14_Logo_100x100.png"Inclusion on the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools shows Geneva College's commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students," said Sean Collins, Vice President at Victory Media and a nine-year Navy veteran.  "The need for education is growing and our mission is to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools."

How does Geneva College financially support military personnel who enroll in the Adult Degree Programs? Service members and veterans who enroll benefit from the Yellow Ribbon and Geneva Tuition Assistance Scholarships. The Yellow Ribbon Scholarship assists veterans with 100 percent eligibility under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The Geneva Yellow Ribbon Scholarship will cover the remaining balance after the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit is applied. The Geneva Tuition Assistance Scholarship for active duty members and spouses, Selected Reserves, and National Guard reduces tuition for recipients to $250 per credit. Geneva College Adult Degree Programs is honored to provide this opportunity to those who have served our country.

Adult Degree Programs Offers Deferred Payment Option

Tuition reimbursement is a great benefit offered by some workplaces. To maximize the convenience of this benefit, Geneva College Adult Degree Programs agrees to defer payment of the tuition costs of courses not covered by financial aid for students who work for firms that have such published education benefit programs.

Students looking to take advantage of this deferred payment option must provide official documentation from their employer and complete appropriate forms for Geneva College. The complete policy is available to read online here.
