On Saturday, October 23, alumni and students from the MSOL Program and Adult Degree Completion Program, along with other invited guests, participated in the Professional Seminar held at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township. Those in attendance enjoyed a very enlightening and productive session on the meaning of vision and values in both organizational and personal life.

Dr. John Stahl-Wert, Executive Director of Serving Leaders of Pittsburgh and member of the MSOL faculty, facilitated a lively discussion that focused on how the principles of biblically centered serving leadership provide a solid foundation for clarifying and aligning vision with the actual work accomplished in organizational and personal life. Leaders who follow these principles create an environment that promotes meaningful work and encourages all employees to be engaged in the purpose of the organization.

Participants in this Professional Seminar identified a number of important "take aways" and insights that can be used in their own professional and personal lives. In addition, a number of those present took advantage of the opportunity to network with others. Who knows where those connections will lead?

Look for the announcement of our next Professional Seminar to take place in March 2011. A big "WHALE DONE" goes out to all those who took time from their Saturday schedule to participate in this Professional Seminar. We appreciate it very much.
