Commuter Resources & Services

Parking
Parking passes are obtained through the online request form. Visit your MyGeneva page for more information. Commuters can park in any parking spot on campus not labeled Faculty and Staff or Visitor Parking.

Lockers
Commuter lockers can be rented through the Student Development Office which is located on the second floor of the Student Center. There is a $10 deposit fee that students will need (cash) in order to receive the locker key. When keys are returned at the end of the year, students will receive their $10 deposits back. If a key is lost, the $10 will be used to purchase a new lock, and the student will have to pay another deposit fee to continue using the locker. Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Skye Lounge
Skye Lounge, located on the upper level of the Student Center, is a great place for commuter students to hang out during the day.

Brig and Riverview Café
Located on the lower level of the Student Center, the Brig and the Riverview Café are great places for students to hang out. Riverview Café serves Starbucks coffee and the Brigadoon, or “Brig,” offers meals. Flex points are usable at both locations.

Meal Plans
Commuter students can choose from any of the meal options. Many commuter students choose to purchase flex points instead of a full meal plan. Flex points may be used at the Brig, Riverview Café and Papa John's Pizza at the bottom of College Hill.

Commuter Meal Plan Options

*Commuters can choose from any of the above plans or purchase flex points through Pioneer College Caterers, but are not required to have a meal plan.

50 Meals Block Plan

You have 50 meals to eat over the course of the semester. You can dine in Alexander Dining Hall or take an Exchange Meal in the Brigadoon (the Brig).

75 Meals Block Plan

You have 75 meals to eat over the course of the semester. You can dine in Alexander Dining Hall or take an Exchange Meal in the Brigadoon (the Brig).

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center, located on the bottom level of the Student Center, is another great, free resource for Commuter Students. The Fitness Center is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Lockers and showers are available.

Chapel
All students are expected to attend chapel weekly on Wednesday at 10:10 a.m. However, commuter students who do not have class on Wednesday before 12:20 p.m. may apply for a Chapel Exemption. Check out the Chapel Schedule and the Reformed Presbyterian Church's tradition of the Singing of Psalms.

Student Success Center
For commuter students who need help with a class, there are free peer tutors available through the Student Success Center.

Tutoring is available for most undergraduate courses and is free of charge for all students registered in the requested course. If you are in need of a tutor, don't struggle alone.

Part of being successful in college, as well as life, is learning to ask for help. To request a tutor, login to myGeneva and go to Student Information > Student Success Center. We'd love to watch you succeed in your class!

Also, the Student Success Center provides resources for students with Learning Disabilities.

Campus Clubs
Commuter students who would like to get more involved on campus should consider joining a campus club. There are about 35 different clubs currently ranging from academic, professional, athletic and ministry clubs.

Health & Wellness Center
The Health & Wellness Center provides services that are free for all enrolled undergraduate students.
