The Purpose of the Ivor Gurney Website is to:
  • facilitate research into the music, poetry, and life of Ivor Gurney; 
  • promote the performance, enjoyment, and teaching of Ivor Gurney's music; 
  • encourage the editing and publishing of further Gurney materials, particularly the 216 yet unpublished songs; 
  • encourage the reading of his poetry, attendance at Gurney concerts, readings, conferences, and events; and 
  • to prompt further commercial recording of his entire musical output.

The Ivor Gurney Society exists to promote interest and enjoyment in the work of Ivor Gurney. 
Among its aims are to make his music and poetry available to a wider audience by way of performances, readings, conferences, recordings and publications, and to enhance and promote informed scholarship in all aspects of his life and work and in his context, through the publication of a regular Newsletter and an annual Journal.
