It’s the most wonderful time of the year — and no, I’m not talking about Christmas. I’m referring to the annual Jubilee Conference, taking place February 13-15, 2026, in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Jubilee Conference is a three-day gathering designed for college students who want their college experience to truly matter. Throughout the weekend, students will walk through the grand narrative of Scripture: the goodness of God as Creator, the beauty of His creation, the devastation of sin, the redemption purchased through Jesus, and the promise of restoration as He makes all things new. In doing so, they encounter a holistic vision of how the Gospel speaks into every area of life.
I’ve had the privilege of attending Jubilee since my sophomore year of college in 2013, and every year I am reminded of the profound impact this conference has on students. Jubilee features four main sessions with speakers from around the world teaching through the four-part Gospel narrative of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Resurrection. Each session also includes a focused time of worship inviting students to meet Christ in both the joys and challenges of life and in the story He is writing for them.
One of my favorite parts of the weekend is worshiping alongside thousands of college students — watching them pour out their hearts before the Lord is deeply moving every single time.
Another key element that makes Jubilee truly unique is its emphasis on vocation. Students can choose from a wide range of breakout sessions led by Christian leaders in fields such as engineering, healthcare, accounting, sports, and education. These sessions help students imagine how their faith can be lived out meaningfully and tangibly in their future careers. Each year I am amazed by the passion students carry home as they apply what they’ve learned to their coursework and begin to envision themselves serving Christ faithfully after graduation.
Perhaps the most powerful aspect of Jubilee, however, is witnessing students commit their lives to Christ for the first time. Every year, we invite students who are still exploring faith to join us, and every year, several say yes. On Saturday night, after the Redemption session, students who sense God calling them to surrender their lives to Christ are invited to respond. I’m moved to tears each time as students rush to the front, and it is especially meaningful when I have the honor of praying with students from Geneva College who are making that life-changing decision.
As we enter a new year and look forward to all that lies ahead, I encourage you to talk with your student about attending Jubilee. Invite them to sign up, grow in their faith, and experience a weekend of deep fellowship within a vibrant Christian community.
I’ve included the link to the Jubilee Conference website and would be glad to answer any questions as your student considers joining us for Jubilee 2026.
May God bless you in this new year.
