10 Amazing Quotes for Inspiration

When the going gets tough, inspirational quotes from prominent Christians (and, of course, Bible verses) can help you move forward with your faith intact. The following quotes are especially valuable in times of trial:

1. Sinclair Ferguson — "Be obedient even when you do not know where obedience may lead you."

Geneva College’s 2017 Commencement speaker, Dr. Sinclair Ferguson reminds us that obedience to God takes both faith and commitment.

2. Barbara Cameron — "Worrying is arrogant because God knows what he's doing."

As Barbara Cameron points out, worrying accomplishes little, and indicates that you don't expect God to fulfill His promises.

3. Billy Sunday — "Christ literally walked in our shoes."

When any struggle seems too difficult to surmount, remember; Jesus has suffered far greater in order to deliver salvation.

4. Henry T. Blackaby — "The reality is that the Lord never calls the qualified; He qualifies the called."

As Blackaby points out, God will equip you with the qualities you need to be who He has made you to be.

5. Adrian Rogers — "God grades on the Cross, not on the curve."

Your GPA is important, of course, but it's not the most important thing in your life: your relationship with God is.

6. Hans Urs von Balthasar — "What you are is God's gift to you; what you become is your gift to God."

God has offered a valuable gift in the form of life; now, it is your job to make the most of this blessing.

7. D.A. McBride — "God blesses you so He can do for others through you; it is not always about you."

This quote will motivate you to utilize your gifts in the interest of improving others' lives.

8. Alistair Begg — "There is no one who is insignificant in the purpose of God."

Alistair Begg offers a poignant reminder that every life and every day matters.

9. Romans 8:28 — "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and for those who have been called according to His purpose."

The Bible is and will always be the best source of inspiration. This verse from Romans reminds us that God is always guiding us and working through us.

10. Lamentations 3:22 — "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail."

Another exceptional verse that will never fail to inspire, this passage reminds us that we will fail again and again (it's part of being human) but that God will never fail us.
