The play is dramatized by Joseph Robinette based on CS Lewis’ classic tale, and will feature live, original music by local composer and pianist Jeremiah Gregg. The play is directed by Mindy Williams. “I am looking forward to bringing C.S. Lewis’s classic story to life,” says Williams. “I’m hoping to create an immersive experience in which the audience feels like they are encountering the story on a new level.”
This production faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of the four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The play is the story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, it is a true celebration of life.
“Working with students is always the most rewarding part of any production process,” says Williams. “My hope is that the cast and crew grow creatively and have a memorable experience. I want to see that they are enriched by the material as well as the collaborative experience.”
