Geneva College Chemistry Society

The Chemistry Society is a student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The chapter has been recognized as an honorable mention by the ACS for the quality of professional and service activities in 2005-06 and again in 2014-15.

Geneva has a student-led organization that exists to provide social and academic opportunities for Chemistry and other Science Majors. Over the past several years the Chemistry Society has planned the following events:

  • Movie Nights
  • Special Speakers
  • Visits to local schools to present science lessons
  • Fieldtrips to local industries
  • Liquid nitrogen ice cream
  • Big Kablooey
  • National Chemistry Week Activities
  • Pumpkin explosions
