
Phi Alpha Theta has been recognizing academic achievement in the study of history since 1921. The organization has a membership of more than 350,000 in some 860 local chapters and membership is limited to students who have achieved a 3.1 GPA in history courses (minimum of 12 hours completed) and a 3.0 minimum GPA overall.
The Alpha-Omicron-Beta chapter at Geneva College was inaugurated in April 2013 and currently has nearly 50 members.
