Communication @Geneva

Why study Communication at Geneva?

In an era of differing communication platforms, attention to the nature, meaning and interpretation of messages is critical. Geneva’s communication program is designed to develop this attentiveness in students. The Communication Department at Geneva explores various functions of communication showing how each can be influenced by a deep and soulful relationship with Jesus Christ.

We offer two majors of study in the department: Communication and Communication Disorders. These two majors offer students the opportunity of learning the invention and articulation of messaging in various mediums (writing, film, design, speech), or preparation for post-graduate study in clinical speech language pathology.

Special opportunities for our students include

  • Participation in intercollegiate communication competitions
  • Membership in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
  • Membership in the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLH)
