Professional Experience
Prior to my experience in academia, worked over 32 years in the corporate world, including more than 25 years at Alcoa. I started out at Alcoa, starting as an industrial engineer and progressing into production control, operations and maintenance management, production line start-up, mergers and acquisitions, business unit controllership, expatriate operational and financial management, and procurement and supply chain management roles. During this time, lived and worked managing finance, supply chain and operations in Russia and traveled extensively while managing large global teams in finance and procurement.
Subsequently, spent several years in consulting first with my own consultancy (Eagle Consultancy International) helping U.S. companies including Ecolab integrate Russian acquisitions with regular travel to Russia and Azerbaijan. Then worked in program management for an ERP consulting firm, Venetia Partners. Concluded my corporate career in operations leadership for an electronics recycling company, Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations.
