Mark received his B.S. in Music Education from Slippery Rock University in 2007. At Slippery Rock Mark studied privately on saxophone and clarinet with Terry Steele, performed and recorded with various ensembles, including the SRU Jazz Ensemble I, which toured Europe in 2006, performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, and the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Holland.

Mark has taught instrumental music in public schools for 12 years and has traveled with his school groups to Pittsburgh, Orlando, Washington, D.C., Columbus, and New York City, performing in parades, theme parks, national monuments, and down the streets of our nation's capitol.

As a conductor, Mark has directed orchestra pits for many years at various high schools in the area, and currently co-directs the San Rocco Festa Band. As a musician, he has performed in many different venues, such as orchestra pits for local musicals; big bands; small groups for weddings, restaurants, and nursing homes; and anywhere he has the opportunity to perform. Mark has had the privilege of performing alongside Wayne Bergeron, Chase Sanborn, Clarence Banks & Dave Keim of the Count Basie Orchestra, Ralph Lalama, Dave Lalama, Nicole Pasternak, Karolina Strassmayer, Gary Smulyan, Al Martino, B.E. Taylor, Sarah Morrow, Rick Simerly, and many others.

Currently, Mark lives in Brighton Township, with his wife, Maegan, and their two kids - Jason and Teresa. They enjoy taking walks, hikes, bike rides, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
