Many students are able to significantly reduce their cost of college with scholarships from various private sources. The key, of course, is to seek this funding out. Organizations of every kind within your local community, state or region may offer scholarships. The effort you spend looking for scholarships is time well spent and could earn you a big pay off.

We would caution you against paying a fee for a scholarship search- often companies who charge a fee are fraudulent. When you receive funds from a private scholarship, you must report those funds to the SFS Office by submitting a copy of the notification letter (SFS@geneva.edu).
