Higher Ed - Admissions & Financial Aid

Admission requirements:

Perhaps the most important requirement for admission into the MA in Higher Education Program is a student's desire to pursue a vocation in service to God in the college or university setting. We will also closely evaluate students' academic accomplishments in an accredited college (minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale); general preparation in pursuing a program in which biblical understanding is important; gifts, styles, and interests (through letters of recommendation); and, motivations for pursuing the degree (essay). The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required for admission. The components of a completed application are described on the next page. Applications are reviewed as they are received.

International Admissions may require additional documentation. International Admissions Requirements

Current program costs:

To view the tuition costs visit Graduate Tuition and Aid. All textbooks are included in the program at no additional cost.

Application Procedures

Applicants seeking regular admission to the HED Program must submit:

  1. Application for Admission
  2. Transcripts of all undergraduate or previous graduate work. Please have official transcripts sent to the address below.
  3. A sample of your writing (submitted within the application), either in the form of a paper from a previous academic experience or a work-related report, that demonstrates proficiency in critical thinking or analytical ability.
  4. A short essay submitted within the application (400-500 words) indicating your motivation for participation in the HED Program.
  5. Three letters of recommendation, including both professional and academic references, which indicate your capacity to pursue graduate-level education (recommendation requests are sent from within the application, your recommenders submit them directly).

International Admissions may require additional documentation. International Admissions Requirements
