Chris Carson

Chris Carson (’06, ‘08) is the Events Director at the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) where he is primarily responsible for the annual Jubilee Conference. His role enables the event to bring together thousands of college students to focus on living out faith in every area of life. The multi-day event features over 50 speakers from a variety of disciplines – engineering, science, art, music, law, politics, medicine, etc. – and over 50 sponsors.

“The CCO and the Jubilee conference care about the ideas and issues that I care about,” Chris says. “I think the story we tell is an important one, and I want to help tell it.”

Chris’ experience at Geneva College while earning his undergraduate degree (cum laude) in Sociology and his graduate degree in Higher Education helps him make an impact each day in preparing and executing Jubilee and other events like the Ocean City Beach Project.

“Geneva provides incredible faith-based background as well as just a fantastic academic environment,” Chris says. He praises the engaged professors at Geneva who are committed to students and equip them with skills that employers value. “The instructors are with you every step of the way, teaching you to think critically, dig deeper and really investigate what you’re learning. ”

His Geneva education has helped him use his affinity for new media and marketing and his passion for innovation to make his impact on thousands of college students each year.
