BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- Geneva will celebrate Martin Luther King Day Monday, Jan. 17, with a student art show, panel discussion, and dramatic presentation.

The art show will display works by students in kindergarten through twelfth grades from the Beaver Falls Area School District. The display will open Monday, Jan. 17, at Geneva in the Student Center′s Skye Lounge. Art show hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. A reception will be held Friday, Jan. 21 from 2:30 - 4 p.m. for the artists, students, parents and community.

The panel discussion will be held in Northwood Hall, room 013. Todd Allen, communication professor, will moderate the discussion. Attendees will talk in small groups about the topic of communal perspectives on racial diversity. The discussion will end with an overview of each small group′s comments on the topic.

A dramatic presentation by Gregory Gibson Kenney of Bethel Park, Pa., will be held in the John H. White Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Kenney will present, "I had a Dream: A Conversation with a Friend." The program recalls Kenney′s dream in which he talks with Dr. King about the, "I have a Dream," speech. The production highlights other speeches by Dr. King and emphasizes his significant contributions to the Civil Rights movement.

Kenney is a professionally trained actor and studied at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. He has performed in numerous theatrical productions and has appeared in commercials.
