BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -Homecoming at Geneva is a time for alumni, friends, and current students to come together and celebrate the college′s rich history and to inform alumni of the many changes that have taken place since their graduation.

This year′s theme is "Under Construction," to celebrate the impending construction that will take place on campus as part of the Route 18 Beyond the Bend project.

Festivities include more than 60 craft and food booths that will line Geneva′s campus at the college′s homecoming street fair starting at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14 -and the public is cordially invited. This year′s street fair will be featuring food, arts and crafts, demonstrations, and entertainment.

Activities for children, students, and adults include the zip line; free concerts by Kindred Cross, led by Steve Cunningham ′81; praise bands; and games.

For kids of all ages there will be face painting, carnival games, a rock climbing wall and other fun activities.

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Admissions Continental Breakfast at McCartney Library. Meet with admissions counselors and take a campus tour. To register, please contact enrollment services at 724-847-6500. No charge.

10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. College Hill Festival - Annual street fair located on Campus.

11:00 a.m. Multiethnic Alumni and Student Reception - Located inthe Conference Room in the Student Center. For more information, contact Cynthia Cook at 724-847-5559 or cynlcool@geneva.edu.

1:00 p.m. Annual Homecoming Parade - Begins at 8th Avenue in downtown Beaver Falls. Floats can be seen along with fire trucks, classic cars and candy for the kids. For information please contact Barb Frum at 724-847-5018 or email blfrum@geneva.edu.

2:00 p.m. Discussing The Da Vinci Code - Dr. Scott Shidemantle will discuss the validity of the view presented in The Da Vinci code that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. Located in the lower lobby of Northwood Hall.

2:30 p.m. Beyond the Bend Celebration - Join the Geneva community and dignitaries for the historic event celebrating the relocation of Route 18 and the Beyond the Bend campus renovation project. Located on the corner of Fourth Avenue and 31st Street.

3:00 p.m. Library Open House - Celebrate the 75th anniversary of the dedication of McCartney Library. Located in the West Reading Room or McCartney Library.

6:30 p.m. Pre-Game Show - Featuring the crowning of the homecoming king and queen and a performance by the marching band.

7:00 p.m. Football vs. Walsh University - Half-time show featuring the Geneva marching band.
