Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva′s women′s volleyball team came into its match on Thursday as one of the hottest teams in the American Mideast Conference. Riding a four-match winning streak, the Golden Tornadoes have moved into second place in the AMC North. However, Geneva found a team even hotter on Thursday night. Walsh University, the 17th ranked team in the country, continued to roll with a 3-0 victory over Geneva College. Walsh improved to 27-2 on the season, while Geneva fell to 12-17.

It didn′t take the Cavaliers long to show why they have lost just two matches all season. Walsh and Geneva played close for the first part of game one, but the Cavaliers pulled away for a 30-20 victory. Geneva managed just 16 and 18 points respectively in games two and three and the Cavaliers left town with another victory.

One day after upsetting AMC North leader Notre Dame College, Geneva couldn′t find the same magic. Megan Summers paced Geneva with 10 kills, but the Walsh front-line was able to neutralize the Geneva offensive attack that has been so potent in the last seven days during a four-game winning streak.

Geneva will be back in action next Tuesday at Seton Hill and then return home next Thursday for a make-up AMC North match against Daemen College.
