After somewhat of a sluggish start, Geneva managed to open a 16-point halftime lead by scoring the game′s final nine points before halftime. Leading 39-23 at the break, Geneva extended its lead to 20 points at 57-37 on a pair of Jackie Anthony free throws with under eight minutes left in the game. Allowing just eight field goals in the second half, Geneva′s team defense continued to be stellar as the Golden Tornadoes entered the game with the third best overall defense in the country.

Offensively, Geneva got good balance with four players reaching double figures. Off the bench, Lauren Uranker knocked down three treys for a team best 17 points. Renee Rawding and Allyson Clarke added 15 points and Michawn Rich scored ten points in the victory.

Turnovers and foul shooting continued to plague Geneva with 25 miscues and only a 63% mark from the foul line. However, on this night, Geneva dominated the game from start to finish against a future opponent in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference next season.

Geneva will travel to Myers University on Friday before returning to Metheny Fieldhouse on Saturday night to host the defending AMC North Champions in Notre Dame College. Geneva is currently tied for the top spot in the conference at 2-0 to start the season.
