At the end of the day, the Golden Tornadoes walked away with a second place trophy in a field of six schools. Geneva went 2-1 on the day to begin the new fall season on a positive note. Geneva started the day with 4-1 victories over both Fredonia and Frostburg State. The Golden Tornadoes dropped a 3-2 decision to host PS-Behrend in the tournament championship.\nTess Roholt finished the day with a perfect 3-0 record in her singles matches, while Allison Krisza was 2-0 and Jill Halama finished 2-1 in singles competition. Katie Caldwell made an impressive collegiate debut with a victory in the Fredonia match, which proved to be her only singles action of the day. Krisza and Julia Buck also came away victorious in doubles action to clinch Geneva′s victory over Frostburg State.\nGeneva will open its home schedule on Monday when the Golden Tornadoes welcome Seton Hill to Beaver Falls at 3 pm.","author":null,"publishDate":"2007-09-08","type":"Athletics Press Release","title":"September 8, 2007","imageDesc":"","url":"/article/io_1189313069084","blogCategories":"","id":"8beca9b10a1504317d58267431315a1d","detailUrl":"/news/2007/09/io_1189313069084.json","sourcePath":null,"slug":"io_1189313069084"}}
