TITAN TROUBLE, GENEVAFALLS TO WESTMINSTER
IN THREE STRAIGHT

Beaver Falls, PA- In front of the largest and most vocal crowd of the season at Metheny Fieldhouse, Geneva welcomed Westminster College, which is currently sitting a top the Presidents′ Athletic Conference. Westminster came in with a 12 match winning streak and left town with a baker′s dozen. Geneva dropped a 3-0 decision to Westminster, despite several dramatic moments throughout the match. The loss for Geneva dropped its overall record to 12-18, while Westminster improved to 19-11.

Westminster opened the match by scoring the first seven points. Geneva tried to rally in game one, but dropped the opening stanza 30-24. The second game turned out to be the most entertaining. Geneva had three chances to close out the game, but Westminster turned all those chances aside and eventually pulled out a 33-31 victory in game two. The Titans cruised to a 30-19 victory in the final game of the night to complete the sweep.

Adriane Blake, who is averaging over four kills per game, increased her numbers at the net with 16 kills on the night. Blake also led the defense with 17 digs. Sarah Bruck added eight kills, while Elizabeth Fisher chipped in with six. Brandi Snavely guided the offense with 37 assists in the three game loss.

Geneva will play three matches on the road on Saturday. It will start the day at Chatham College to play Chatham and Waynesburg. The day will end at Grove City with a 6 pm match against the Wolverines. Geneva′s next home game will be its last a week from Friday when it closes out the regular season against Saint Vincent College.
