Pittsburgh, PA - Another game and another victory for the Geneva College women′s soccer team. The Golden Tornadoes improved to 7-0-1 on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory at LaRoche College.

Rebecca Shaw opened the scoring and broke a scoreless tie in the 15th minute when she took a feed from Julie Collins and found the back of the net from nearly 30 yards out. Another long distance shot off of Collins′ foot found the net in the 34th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.

The Golden Tornadoes surrendered just their second goal of the season two minutes into the second half as the Redhawks sliced Geneva′s lead in half. LaRoche was not able to gain the equalizer as Shaw struck again with eight minutes remaining in regulation to put the game away when she took a long feed from Amanda Munsch and put Geneva up by a pair.

Lauren Londino registered her sixth victory of the season and it was only the second win of the year that Londino picked up while allowing a goal.

The Golden Tornadoes put their unbeaten record on the line on Thursday night when they welcome Point Park University to Merriman Athletic Complex in a make-up game against the Pioneers from last week′s lightning postponement.
