Beaver Falls, PA– Saturday August 30th the Geneva men’s basketball team raised over $1,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project during its five hour car wash.
Geneva’s head coach Jeff Santarsiero shared a moving story he and the Golden Tornadoes were able to be part of. “We had a mom who has three children presently serving the military get her car washed. She stated that one of her children was injured in Afghanistan and is currently receiving help from the Wounded Warrior project. She thanked us for our service.”
“It just solidified to the team that our mission and calling is always on display. Also, a special thanks to the Geneva community that came to get their cars washed. Lastly, a special shout out to Dr. Frazier for the ice pops - a definite hit with the team!”
