Bethany ,WV - The Golden Tornadoes experienced a heartbreak in West Virginia Thursday night at Bethany College. Geneva and Bethany played till set five to determine who took home the âW′. The loss (18-25,25-22,21-25,25-17,10-15) brings Geneva′s overall record to 13-7, 6-2 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference.
"When we kept our errors under control we won but when we didn′t, we lost," commented co-head coach Curt Conser.
The Golden Tornadoes finished the match with 13 total team blocks. Freshman Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton) the offense with ten kills, Rachel Netherland (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) earned 21 assists. On the defensive side of the ball, Alexis Ritson (Irwin, PA/Hempfield) lead the GTs with 14 digs.
Wednesday October 8 the Golden Tornadoes are back on home court hosting all-time rival, Westminster College at 7 p.m.
