Latrobe, PA – Sophomore Madelyn Blosser (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) continues to lead Geneva’s women’s cross country team. Blosser placed 43rd overall at Saint Vincent Saturday morning with a time of 21:22.7 (5K).

As a team, Geneva placed 13th of 17, finishing over Bethany, Carlow, Washington & Jefferson and Chatham.

Junior Rebecca Miller (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) placed 52nd in 21:46.2 while sophomore Amy Pinson (Colorado Springs, CO/Homeschool) finished 68th in 22:22.0.

“Making some of the biggest improvements I've ever seen from the freshman to sophomore year is Amy Pinson,” said head coach Brian Yowler. “She was a strong number three for us today by running over two minutes faster than last year!”

“Another big boost for our women was the return of last year's number one runner Havilah Gaugler.  Coming back from injury, she raced conservatively today, but was a key number four runner for the team.”

Geneva is back in action once again on the road next Saturday.
