Geneva men’s soccer rallies to win in second half, secures second place in PAC

seniors

Beaver Falls, PA - At halftime, Geneva trailed St. Vincent 1-0 on senior day and seemed in jeopardy of losing its grip on second place in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Senior captain Sean Bernardi (Butler, PA/Butler) resolved that deficit, though, with a goal on a penalty kick in the third minute of the second half. That opened the flood gates as Geneva added three more second half goals to win 4-1.

The three second half goals were scored by sophomore Josh Brenize (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg), sophomore Abel Carleton (Darlington, PA/Beaver County Christian School), and freshman Liam O’Halloran (Elyria, OH/Elyria Catholic). Sophomore Gib McCracken (Beaver Fall/Beaver County Christian School) recorded assists on the second and fourth goals.

Geneva finishes its regular season as 11-4-3 overall and 6-1-1 in Presidents’ Athletic Conference action.
