Grove City Upsets Women’s Basketball 70-60

Grove City, PA – Grove City upset the Geneva women’s basketball Golden Tornadoes Saturday afternoon. The 70-60 final drops Geneva to a 9-12 overall record, 6-8 record in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

 “We didn’t shoot the ball well the first half and that was the difference,” said head coach Lori Wynn.

“We fought, hard and battled but they shot the ball well first half and that was the difference.”

Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) led Geneva’s efforts with 21 points and seven rebounds supported by Callie Ford’s (New Middletown, OH/Springfield Local) 11 points and Marissa Heaney’s (New Castle, PA/Union) ten.

Wednesday, Geneva hosts defending NCAA Division III Champions, the Thomas More Saints at 5:30 p.m.
