Beaver Falls, PA – 37 Geneva spring student-athletes earned a 3.6 GPA or higher during the spring 2016 semester while in season competing in either softball, baseball, indoor and outdoor men and women’s track and field and men’s tennis. 20 of the prestigious student-athletes were also listed as all-conference members or recipients of the PAC sportsmanship award.
Nicole Bartoletta (Monaca, PA / Central Valley), Madely Blosser (Monaca, PA / Central Valley), Sarah Klein (Monaca, PA / Central Valley), Kailee Loose (Beaver, PA / Beaver) and Hannah Mansell (Reading, PA / Governor Mifflin) from the women’s track and field program earned first team all-conference honors while obtaining excellence in the classroom. Bartoletta, Klien and Loose earned first team all-conference with their first place performance in the 400 meter relay team event finishing with a time of 48.85 seconds.
Mansell’s freshman campaign left a mark in the school’s record books as a member of the 4 x 800 meter relay team who reset the record at 10:18.29 during the Spire Midwest Meet.
“We take great pride in focusing our student athletes on their academic endeavors,” said Van Zanic, Geneva College’s Athletic Director. “The PAC honor roll validates the great work our student athletes are doing and their amazing ability to balance their time with their teams and their time in the classroom. Our staff couldn't be prouder of each and every one of those young men and women who have excelled as student athletes.”
