Youngstown, OH- The Geneva College women’s track and field team travel to Youngstown State University on Friday, January 20 to compete in the YSU College Invitational. The non-scoring meet was held at the Watson and Tressel Training site. Geneva College was the only NCAA Division III track & field team competing in a field of Division I & II schools.
“The women had a great day at YSU,” said head coach Phil Thompson. “We had some really strong performances against some top level competition. We were the only DIII school at this meet and we held our own. The team was led today by Nicole, Madelyn, and Kailee.”

“Nicole continued her excellent season with a school record in the hurdles,” commented coach Thompson.
The field events were led by junior Kailee Loose who jumped 5.13 meters in the long jump.
“Madelyn ran a strong race in the 800 meters and Kailee led the team in the field events with a strong performance in the long jump.”
The Geneva track and field teams will travel to Spire University next Friday, January 27 for the SPIRE Institute Midwest Indoor Track & Field Open. Competition is set to start at 12:30 p.m.
