Geneva Men’s Tennis Edges Waynesburg 5-4

Beaver Falls, Pa. – Geneva men’s tennis edged Waynesburg 5-4 on Thursday, April 20. Now 3-11, 2-5 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Geneva went 2-3 in doubles play, 3-3 in singles play.

Eric Abbott and Alex Greissinger posted an 8-5 win in second doubles while Tim Martin and Caleb Hoal earned the win in third doubles, 8-0.

Martin and Greissinger went 2-2 on the day each recording wins in doubles and singles play. Martin tallied a 6-2, 6-3 win in fourth singles. Greissinger earned the 6-3, 6-0 two set match win. Ethan Stahl rolled over his opponent in sixth singles 6-1, 6-2.

Geneva will have a quick turnaround for a non-conference match on Friday, April 21 at Frostburg State University. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
