His PhD specialized in rural history and the American West. \nFry has published three books: A Prairie Faith: The Religious Life of Laura Ingalls Wilder(Eerdmans, 2024); editor of Laura Gibson Smith’s Almost Pioneers: One Couple’s Homesteading Adventure in the West(TwoDot, 2013); The Farm Press, Reform, and Rural Change: 1895-1920 (Routledge, 2005). \nBefore relocating to Pennsylvania, Fry was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Countryside, Illinois.  ","author":null,"publishDate":"2026-07-21","type":"Stories","title":"Geneva Welcomes John Fry as History Professor and Department Chair","imageDesc":"John Fry","url":"/article/geneva-welcomes-john-fry-as-history-professor-and-department-chair","blogCategories":"","id":"739b28f4ac0a24044a87268e97c839e8","detailUrl":"/news/2026/07/geneva-welcomes-john-fry-as-history-professor-and-department-chair.json","sourcePath":null,"slug":"geneva-welcomes-john-fry-as-history-professor-and-department-chair"}}
